New Credit Check of Fines initiative

From 13 February 2012, if you have overdue fines or reparation this information may be included as part of a credit check about you. This may result in you being declined credit and stop you from getting the things you want. To avoid this happening, pay your fines now.

Used when a creditor wishes for the debtor to be ordered to attend a hearing to determine their ability to pay a civil debt. Fee as of 1 October 2010.

Application for Warrant to Arrest for Attendance at Examination

Used when the creditor wishes for the debtor to be arrested to appear at an examination hearing.

Application for Attachment Order

Used when the creditor wants compulsory deductions to be made from the debtor’s income and paid to them for overdue civil debt. Note: an examination hearing is required before this step can be considered. Fee as of 1 October 2010.
