Update address details
If you have received a jury summons with an old address it may be because your address details have not been updated with the Electoral Enrolment Centre.

To be selected for jury service you must:
- be on one of New Zealand's electoral rolls, and
- live within a jury district of a jury trial court
On a monthly basis the Electoral Enrolment Centre (EEC), at the request of the Ministry of Justice, randomly selects New Zealanders who live in geographic blocks within a jury district of each jury trial court. This selection is then sent to the Ministry of Justice.
Jury districts are generally within 45 kilometres from the jury trial court although in some cases the jury district may be smaller where another court is close by.

If your new address is still within the same Jury District:
You are still expected to attend for jury service if your new address is within the same jury district.

If your new address is now outside of the Jury District:
You are not eligible to attend for jury service on this occasion.
You will still need to advise the Court that you are no longer eligible for jury service because of your change of address.
