About the Registry

The Accident Compensation Appeals District Court Registry hears claims made under the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation Act 2001, against decisions by ACC’s Disputes Resolution Services.

The Accident Compensation Appeals District Court Registry hears claims made under the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation Act 2001, against decisions by ACC's Disputes Resolution Services.

District Court Judges are warranted to hear appeals.

Please note that the Registry does not hear claims against ACC decisions made under the repealed Accident Compensation Act 1982 – these are heard by the Accident Compensation Appeal Authority.
