The International Education Appeal Authority (IEAA) is an independent body that deals with complaints from international students about the care and support they receive from their education provider or the provider's agent.
The IEAA enforces the standards of the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. The Code of Practice provides a framework to ensure all international students are well informed, safe and properly cared for while in New Zealand.
Before bringing a complaint to the Authority, an international student must first have tried to resolve their concerns through the internal complaints process of their education provider or agent.
