How to Apply
How to lodge an objection with the Land Valuation Tribunal.
To lodge an objection to a valuation with the Land Valuation Tribunal, you need to have first taken your complaint to your district council or their valuation service provider. You will also need to have a written decision on the outcome of their review.
The first step in filing an objection with the Tribunal is to complete and submit an Objection to Valuation form.
Once you have completed the form, send it to the Tribunal closest to the land being valued. Find your nearest Land Valuation Tribunal.
Once your objection is lodged you will receive an acknowledgement letter outlining the next steps.
Written evidence
As the objector, you will need to give written statements to Quotable Value outlining the evidence you are basing your objection on within 30 working days. Quotable Value will then provide you and the Tribunal with their statements of evidence within 30 working days.
Once all statements of evidence have been exchanged, it is up to you to arrange a meeting with Quotable Value to discuss a possible settlement. This meeting must occur within 10 days of the Tribunal receiving Quotable Value's statements.
If an objection is settled, it will not go to a hearing.
