About the Tribunal

The Trans-Tasman Occupations Tribunal consists of a Governor-General appointed chairperson and two members.

The Trans-Tasman Occupations Tribunal consists of a Governor-General appointed chairperson, who must be a barrister and solicitor of the High Court with at least seven years' experience, or a District Court Judge. The chairperson sits with two members.

If the chairperson considers it desirable, one of the members appointed to sit at the hearing may be a member of the Australian Tribunal.
